Thank you to all who participated and joined us for survey demonstration cruises.
Substructure will demonstrate the capabilities of its hydrographic survey vessel Orion off the charter fishing dock at 315 Market St., Portsmouth, New Hampshire(Google Map Link), 03801, February 14-18, 2011. Head to the left when you pull through the gate into the parking area and you will see small dock.
Custom-designed by Substructure’s engineers and technicians, Orion features hull-mounted multibeam sonar and state-of-the-art electronics for bathymetric data accuracy and repeatability that meet or exceed International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Special Order standards. The exceptional level of accuracy provided by Orion can be critical for a variety of applications, including dredging volume computations, seafloor change evaluations, site characterization surveys, and engineering structural assessments.
For the February 14-18 demonstrations, Orion will be equipped with an R2Sonic Sonic 2024 multibeam echosounder, hull mounted directly onto the Orion transducer fairing and moon pool plug; Applanix 320 POS MV position and orientation system; and Hypack/Hysweep hydrographic data acquisition and post-processing software.
Built for nearshore and coastal applications, sophisticated and versatile Orion is trailerable for rapid deployment and fully equipped for commercial diving. Join us to experience the unique capabilities of Orion and to discuss how Substructure’s capabilities apply to your projects.
