Commercial Diving
Substructure’s well-trained commercial divers have decades of experience throughout the world – from the Arctic Ocean in winter to the Persian Gulf in summer. We have responded to oil spills and addressed problems in ballast tanks and pump bays and at nuclear power plants. We have conducted repairs at oil refineries and on pipelines and have worked from the base of dams to the top of water supply tanks.
Our timely and effective commercial diving encompasses a wide range of services: inspecting piers, bridges, dams, pipelines, and vessels; maintaining trash racks, traveling water screens, and sluice gates; installing and repairing pumping equipment; supporting dredging operations; rehabilitating marine structures; installing cathodic protection systems; maintaining vessels; performing salvage; providing remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services; removing biological growth; installing revetment mats; setting underwater explosives; installing pile encapsulations; constructing concrete forming and performing pumping operations; performing underwater burning and welding; inspecting potable water system inspection and maintenance; undertaking archaeological site surveys and recovery; and supporting oceanographic and hydrographic research.
Importantly, Substructure diving operations are constantly reevaluated for the complete management of risk; safety is our primary consideration.
