Multidisciplinary Survey for Jetty Assessment & Rehabilitation

In the waters in and around Mount Sinai Harbor, New York, Substructure – using survey vessel Orion – acquired multibeam data to International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Special Order standards; coordinated hydrographic and topographic survey operations to maximize consistency, coverage, and overlap in the extensive nearshore regions; integrated existing high-resolution ortho-photographs into the planning and design process; collected geotechnical sediment samples from the beach and inlet areas; and acquired current meter and tidal data from a moored instrument deployed in the inlet.
